New camera technology enables us to create raw realist movies using non-classical filmmaking techniques. Employing a wide range of cameras will enhance the particular characteristics of all the varying film sources.

 

This multi-format footage will bring us closer to the characters, with their human flaws and desires. The news media will create a lifelike sense of context. Yet the distant, unemotional CCTV footage will create a sense of dread reflecting Dracula’s callous nature. 

Essentially we are returning to the original source material to create a dark, sinister film told through a modern filmmaking vernacular and using imagery rather than dialogue to tell this timeless story of six friends tooling up to fight a monster. 

 

And crucially, we are employing Bram Stoker's original narrative structure and design.
